Chimneys of Mengkarak prewar shophouses

The chimneys of Mengkarak prewar shophouse  is situated on a dead end forgotten road
which leads to the Mengkarak new village,
a  thriving agriculture village with mostly rubber and palm oil.
The east coast KTM railway line separates the old shop houses
and the new village and make brief stops there too.

    With rapid urbanization,
    these old buildings are virtually
left to rot on their own
