Chimneys of Tanjung Kidurong Power Station

The 10 chimneys of Tanjung Kidurong Power Station in Bintulu are between 25 to 40m high.
There are from 6 open cycle GE Frame 6 Gas Turbine (6 x 34MW)
and a new combined cycle block consisting of 2 GE Frame 9 GT(2 x 110MW) and a steam turbine generator(110MW) giving a total installed capacity of 534MW.





This building housed 4 GE frame 6 GT.
There are another 2 more similar machine of package outdoor type
in the power station.




The new 330MW Combined Cycle Bintulu Power Station.

  2. Brick ones are becoming extint nowadays,
    as most i found are already abandoned.
    Sesco is now a subsidiary of Sarawak Energy
    and as for the duck,there wouldn't be any left if they are over here.

    When I took this photo of the chimney last month, I was thinking when I will use it. Today is just right.

    I came across this sewage vent which at first I thought was a chimney, and I had a good discussion with he husband as he is an environmental engineer. Any way, you may like to look at it.

    The cats here are useless, not like Sarawak cats. The boss of the house doesn't want a cat. So that was the end of the discussion.
