The plant build by China National Machinery & Equipment Import & Export Corporation will be fully commissioned in 2009 with 2 x 135MW output mostly to be utilized by the new Press Metal Sarawak Aluminium Smelther next door.
One thing good about the plant is that coal is also mined nearby
and transported by lorry from mines of Sarawak Coal Resourses in Mukah Balingian area.
